The Rio Grande Valley College celebrated the grand opening of its new Pharr campus

The Rio Grande Valley College celebrated the grand opening of its new Pharr campus. Established in 2008 as RGV Careers, the institution has grown and transitioned into Rio Grande Valley College.Setting Pharr on the map for being the first and only college in the city. The grand opening and formal ribbon cutting was held Nov. 16. Hosted by Dr. Annabelle Palomo, School Director for the Pharr Campus, the ribbon cutting included a speech by the Mayor of Pharr, Dr. Ambrosio “Amos” Hernandez. Other dignitaries included Pharr City Commissioner Ramiro Caballero, Hidalgo County Commissioner Eddie Cantu, and PEDC Executive Director VictorPerez. Mr. Roel Landa, School Director of Operations and part owner of RGV College, also attended the ceremony.
