San Juan, Texas – The City of San Juan is partnering with MixFit Performance to provide FREE weekly one-hour fitness workouts to San Juan Residents! Earlier this month, the San Juan City Commission announced an exciting partnership with PSJA Alum Marylena Bustamante, a University of Dallas graduate and now a certified personal trainer. Marylena has volunteered to give back to her hometown community of San Juan by offering free adult personal training and fitness classes through the Parks & Recreation Department. The weekly one-hour fitness program will begin on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 6:30 pm. This is an exciting, FREE opportunity for the citizens of San Juan to engage in health and fitness programs together as a community!
“Whether you’re looking for a change in your fitness routine or looking for that motivation to start exercising, we have you covered! Come get fit with MixFit, good for adults of all fitness levels! Bring a friend or relative and get ready for some fun!” said MixFit Owner Marleyna Bustamante.
“We are extremely proud to have our students come back to our community as professionals and give back,” said Mayor Mario Garza. “This will be a wonderful opportunity for our citizens to engage in healthy exercise as well as a great experience for us to continue to build partnerships with our local citizens who are interested in volunteering or participating in their community.”
All San Juan residents are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of this FREE fitness opportunity, regardless of what fitness level you are currently in. Register at our San Juan Parks & Recreation Department. Registration is FREE and the first class will be held at San Juan Municipal Park on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 6:30 pm.
