EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents, along with local law enforcement agencies, disrupted two stash operations in the Rio Grande Valley.
On Thursday afternoon, the Roma Police Department requested assistance from the Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station after they received information on a stash house. Border Patrol agents, along with Roma police officers, located the residence and conducted a welfare check. Inside, agents and officers identified 49 illegal aliens comprised of men, women and unaccompanied children from the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
Hours later, agents, working in collaboration with Texas Department of Public Safety and Hidalgo Police Department, identified a stash house operation at a local hotel. A welfare check of three separate rooms resulted in the discovery of 14 illegal aliens from the country of China.
The Border Patrol is processing all subjects accordingly.
